Introduction
As hotels in the centre of Manchester are usually pretty pricey, and the city is pretty well connected to the airport via train anyway, I decided to once again stay at an old favourite, the Hilton Manchester Airport.
Upon check in, I was informed that I’d been upgraded to a deluxe room and was handed an envelope containing a welcome letter, and various coupons for breakfast, a free drink and a bonus points offer.
Main Room
Upon entering the room, I was a little surprised – despite being a so called deluxe room, it was actually smaller than the room I had when I stayed at the same property last year, which as far as I was aware was just a regular room.
Bathroom
The bathroom was of a standard useable size, featuring a bath/shower combi.
Amenities
Standard Hilton bathroom amenities here, as well as a tea/coffee tray. Missing however, was the two bottles of water that I was entitled to due to my status. A quick visit to reception sorted this and I was given another drinks voucher by way of apology.
In Conclusion
This hotel has been around for years. In fact, along with the Radisson, I believe it was one of the original airport hotels. Its aged well however, and reasonably priced for an airport Hilton. As mentioned previously, I stay here due to the fact the hotels in the city are usually pretty pricey when I look and as this place is across the road from Manchester Airport Staton its easy enough to get to and from the city.
